


Miguel Pereira
As a member of the ICOM Board in charge of Technology & Innovation, I play a pivotal role in exploring how we can use technology and AI to empower our creativity and our businesses.
Entrepreneur in the advertising industry with over 25 years’ experience in management positions in marketing departments and agencies in the United States and Europe.
Miguel Pereira was previously Marketing Director of the leading Spanish-language newspaper EL PAÍS (2001-2006). Prior to this, he had worked in marketing management positions at The Miami Herald and at La Opinion in Los Angeles.
He graduated in Business Administration at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, specializing in International Marketing at Dublin City University. He has also completed an Executive Development Programme at IESE (Madrid), and he has completed the program on Artificial Intelligence; impact on Business Strategies' at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
He is a lecturer on marketing innovation and AI at Master’s degrees in Madrid and trade conferences. He was a founding partner of Club Matador (clubmatador.com) and also co-founded TIWI (tiwiworld.com), among other ventures.
At Darwin & Verne, he leads innovation, international relations, and the company's AI business unit, Phileas (darwinverne.com/phileas).
