He began his career in the 1990s, building a strong foundation through account development and expansion in sectors such as consumer products, finance, automotive, tourism, and IT. In the B2B space, Manabu has distinguished himself through impactful corporate branding initiatives, particularly in manufacturing and technology, which have led to significant business results and multiple creative awards.
A forward-looking leader, Manabu was an early adopter of digital advertising, helping transform his agency into one of the most digitally driven firms among Japan’s integrated advertising companies—well ahead of industry trends. His work has spanned numerous cross-border projects, supporting clients in their international expansion and bringing strategic insights to global marketing challenges.
As a board member of ICOM, Manabu plays a key role in creating cross-border business opportunities, especially by connecting Japanese companies with international markets. He is also actively involved in the strategic expansion of ICOM’s membership in the Asia-Pacific region.
He serves as Chairperson of the International Exchange Committee of the Japan Advertising Agencies Association (JAAA), where he leads initiatives to strengthen global collaboration and knowledge-sharing among Japanese advertising firms.
