


David Longden
With 30 years of marketing experience, split evenly between agency and client-side roles, David is an accomplished marketeer, communications professional, and agency business leader. Having navigated both sides of the industry he brings a unique perspective and comprehensive understanding to every project.
David uses the PIPE management framework, focusing on Proposition, Income, People, and Efficiency to drive agency growth.
On the agency side, David worked at Brann Worldwide (now Havas), he joined Golley Slater in 2006 and became CEO in 2013. On the client side in financial services, David was Sales and Marketing Director for Zurich Direct Insurance and Life (formerly Eagle Star) and handled Client and Prospect Development for Zurich Life (formerly Allied Dunbar). Additionally, he spent 2 years at McKinsey & Co., working on the restructuring of British American Tobacco’s financial services operations.
In the communications, IT, and tech sector at Vodafone, David held roles such as Global Core Brand Executive for Voice and Messaging for Europe and Strategic Marketing Director for Next Generation propositions in the UK and Europe. David launched 3G consumer propositions (Vodafone live) and business applications (3G dongle). Furthermore, he established and managed the CRM programme for Vodafone Consumer and Business units.
David’s extensive experience and strategic vision have consistently driven success across various sectors, making him a valuable asset to any team or project.
As a board member of the ICOM network, David plays a role in offering strategic guidance and effectively bridging the gap between Europe and North America.
